I hope you like guns...
...because I drew some for my portfolio, as examples of prop design.

Here, have a preview:

These are just a few designs I'm throwing around for the guns my "heroes" use in the story I've got kicking around in my head. My favorite is the one based on the LeMat; tell me what 'ya think!

First up is a revolver based on a Manhattan Firearms Co. "Navy Model" 5-shot .036 (which was based on the Colt 6-shot 0.44):

This one's based in part on a LeMat 9-shot 0.40 revolver, which has two barrels (the lower one fires buckshot!):

And finally this one's similar in design to a gun called the Howdah that 19th century Brits wielded to kill tigers while riding on elephants in India:

Job interview in the morning! Bedtime.

How I Feel: chipper

Awsuum :O I love the last one. ...Why does it have two triggers though?

Because it has two barrels with independently-operating firing systems; it has two hammers (in the same spot on both sides of the gun) and two triggers, one for the top barrel and one for the bottom barrel.

ohhh..cool. So can you fire both at once? Or are you supposed to just fire one and switch to the other really fast?

well you could fire off both at once, but that'd have a ridiculous kick to it x) The Brits only used the bottom barrel as a backup.

I think the middle one is prettiest. Even though I don't like guns. But I guess it's okay cause they're not real.

(:

I like the first one best. It looks like the kind of gun that'll keep working no matter what you hit it with or drop it in. Simple, functional, stylish. :D
