These are just a few designs I'm throwing around for the guns my "heroes" use in the story I've got kicking around in my head. My favorite is the one based on the LeMat; tell me what 'ya think!
First up is a revolver based on a Manhattan Firearms Co. "Navy Model" 5-shot .036 (which was based on the Colt 6-shot 0.44):

This one's based in part on a LeMat 9-shot 0.40 revolver, which has two barrels (the lower one fires buckshot!):

And finally this one's similar in design to a gun called the Howdah that 19th century Brits wielded to kill tigers while riding on elephants in India:
