I'm not sure how many of you follow the Avatar fandom, but rufftoon has been working on an amazing AU comic called Water Tribe, and is now going to publish it in book-form! Hurrah! A request for guest-art was called, and a mass quantity of artists obliged. Here's my contribution:



If you're not "in the know," it's from Part One of Water Tribe, when Zhao has killed a Molebear after being sent on a Molebear hunt. After killing said Molebear Zhao wonders aloud how he'll get it back to the tribe; what I drew is how I imagine he would have tried - by brute force. Lashing the entire creature to his back and trudging home seems like a Zhao thing to do.

I thought the one on the right was the better pose (seemed more natural at the time, what with dragging a large animal strapped to your back), but buttfacemakani claimed that the pose on the left is stronger of the two. I'm glad I listened!

Also today I relaxed by the pool for a few hours and read some more of Terry Pratchett's Guards! Guards! while chomping on a Perdomo Habano Connecticut, which has made me the most relaxed I've been in months. Oh yeah I also snagged a job interview on Thursday morning, which kicks rocks x)

Not too far back the editor of A Modest Proposal (on-campus newspaper) asked me to do another piece of art for him. "Another?" you ask? Why yes! I've drawn a ton of pictures for them, but never shown you, dear internet, because I'm selfish. What Mac asked me to draw was summed up in his email with "...so yea, some picture of the pope being hypocritical and excommunicating that girl and maybe like eating a baby or something equally awful." Did you also know that I take things a little too literally sometimes?

I went shopping for a new desk today, and I dragged Cody with me so he could help with the lifting and whatnot. ANYWAYS I went to the wrong store, and on the way to the right store I saw an Estate Sale sign, and couldn't resist checking it out.

Also I've become addicted to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I saw the first season on sale a few days ago at Wal Mart and picked it up on a whim. Now I'm on season 3 x)

Oh yeah and I never got the desk cos it was out of stock :| but I can smell like Abe Lincoln now so I guess it all evens out.
